Anime Picture Archive - David Hedbor A huge collection of graphics. Literally thousands of high-quality cartoon style images, many suitable for reduction to icons. If you like Japanese animation graphics, this is the place for you! Reviewed 5/6/96

Augusto's Icons Augusto says: "Talvez demore um pouquinho para se carregar todas as imagens, mas valerß a pena." The load time is horrific and everything is in a single table so drum your fingers and wait - hence the low rating. BUT... you'll find some very interesting original clipart here. Reviewed 7/5/97

BAE Icon Archive A small collection from the University of Georgia's Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department. These appear to have been gathered and presented largely for local use. Some larger images, especially of trains, are worthy of a look. Reviewed 1/14/96

Billy Bear's Bullets, Icons, & Clipart This is a simply grand site for the kids. There are bears all over the place. You'll also find storybook pages and "Billy Bear's Playground" - kid-safe collection of things to do and places to go. Reviewed 3/4/97

ClipArt - John's Corner of the Net A relatively small but growing collection of gathered images in categories: icons, balls and wallpaper. There are also links to clipart sites. The Clip Art Universe A relatively large and nicely presented collection of copyright-free clip art in categories: Pictures, Animated Gifs, Buttons, Dividers, and Backgrounds. There are also links to Graphics Software sites. Reviewed 10/2/96

Fitness Club Image Paks (commercial) Collections of fitness oriented GIFs to dress up your pages. This is a commercial site to have your wallet ready. Reviewed 2/23/97

Flinux Icon Archive A fine collection of images for HTML development. You'll find categories: 3dcolor 3dgray 64x38 arrow balls buttons comic-people computer disks-tape documents flags folder games graphics lines logos mail misc myfavor office panel signs simcity whole icons The entire collection is available for download as a tar file. I don't know why SimCity is not included in the games category. Reviewed 3/4/97

FREE Business Clipart and Photos Donald A. Coggan A small collection of business-oriented clip art and images. You'll find brass business placards in English and French, flags, animated images, and logos. There's also a small collection of "other Clipart" which contained the "Hear no evil..." image at right. A folksy and enjoyable site. Reviewed 9/15/96

The Free-Market Picture Gallery A an interesting and very nicely presented collection of Americana-related images in categories: Flags ,Heroes & Heroinesm, Humor/Sarcasm, The Liberty Bell, Miscellaneous Americana, Patriots/Minutemen and The Statue of Liberty. There is some great Old Glory-waving stuff here! Reviewed 9/15/96

GraphX Kingdom A monumental collection of clipart in categories: Automobiles, Baseball, Basketball, Birds, Books, Cartoons, College, Computer, Document, Email, Flags, Food and Drink, Hockey, Insects, Mammals, Marine Life, Miniatures, Miscellaneous, Multimedia and Music. Wow. You'll recognize some of the images. Reviewed 7/5/97

Goth Image Database A collection of Gothic images compiled by the Gothic Club and alt.gothic users - Most of the images in this archive were collected from FTP sites on the net, including ftp.uwp.edu, ftp.maths.tcd.ie, cyberden.com, as well as by contributions from individuals on mailing lists, usenet newsgroups, and other web locations, and are collected and organized here to return the favor, as a contribution to those that made this possible. The House - Free Clipart Collection A large collection of 1940's and 1950's style clipart in categories: Automotive, Clothing, Electrical, Household, Originals, People, Professions, Stationery, Tools, Type. Icon Frenzy! A collection of ribald political caricatures from the UK. You'll find John Major, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, TV Nation and Phillipa. Naughty but nice. Reviewed 3/4/97

Icon Mania A superb collection of cartoon character icons and clipart. A great site for the kids! Reviewed 12/13/96

Icon-o-Mat - IconoClass A really kewl collection of original icons in several genres. Reviewed 7/5/97.

Iconolog 96 - Ann E. Cleary "There have been a number of changes to the collection. The Iconolog is housed in the Pavilion of Icons, perched high on the cliffs of Crater Lake in the Realms of the Great Web. The original collection of 22,963 windows ico's is still available. The ongoing Gif collection retains the limitation of 32x32 pixels & 16 colors, but has no restriction on the color palette. It now numbers 6606 gifs, including a special collection of 171 Smileys. All gifs are on display. Both collections are indexed & available for download in toto or by category." This is a truly monumental collection of Windows icons. Now in glorious, living frames! Jelane's Free Web Graphics This stylishly presented site offers help, graphic image families, 256 color images and thumbnails. It's quite unlike any other site I've seen. The coordinated image families are wonderful. Last Reviewed 7/6/97.

You'll find categories: Red Backgrounds, Green Backgrounds, Blue Backgrounds, Purple Backgrounds, Pink Backgrounds, Yellow Backgrounds, Black Backgrounds and Holiday Borders. One Mile Up Web Icon Sampler Samples from a terrific collection of clipart relating to the military, specifically, the Air Force. You'll find a lot of good images or airplanes here. Planet Earth - Images, Icons and Flags - Philip Greenspun A truly monumental collection of collections. A Magellan 4-Star Site. The site has links to archives of images from all over the Web. The links are well organized. Included are: Image Servers - Space Images - NASA Images - Earth Images and Maps - Travel Images - Medical Images - Image Archives - Icon Archives - Flag Archives - Miscellaneous. SITO - Artchives (formerly OTIS) " SITO is collection of images and information accessible mainly via INTERNET that is open for public perusal and participation. Tweeter's Design World You'll find categories: Animations, Art, Backgrounds and Bars. Most are still "under construction." The backgrounds are fairly fleshed out and you'll find some good ones. Reviewed 7/5/97

Virtual Image Archive - Brian Casey Another collection of collections and one of the best. "Welcome to the Virtual Image Archive. There are thousands of links to sites with digital images here, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding something that you like.
